The Lynchburg-Clay FFA & FFA Alumni in conjunction with the Southern Ohio Antique Tractor Pullers Association hosted their Annual Truck & Tractor Pulls last August at the Lynchburg Lions Club Park.
This event was originally scheduled for May but was postponed due to the heavy rains that the Lynchburg area received that weekend. During that weekend the storm also destroyed the lights at the track area. Nearly 30 lights, eight light poles, and electrical wiring had to be installed for the event. The organizations received generous donations to assist with this huge community service project. The lighting project is a two year project and hopefully the process will be completed by this year's pulls which are scheduled for August 26-27, 2011.
There were a total of 99 participants in the two-day event and over 1,100 people in attendance! Nearly 45 FFA and FFA Alumni members organized and assisted in the pulls over the weekend.
