Four members of the Lynchburg-Clay Junior State of America recently attended their Spring Conference in Columbus, where they debated contemporary American political and social issues.
The purpose of JSA is to introduce students to forensic discourse while encouraging an awareness of society's most significant issues and help high school students acquire leadership skills and the knowledge necessary to be effective debaters and political members.
Richard Tarr, president, Nicole Tarr, Richard Oaks, and Ben Jones attended sessions and debated in the Senate chambers.
