Lynchburg-Clay FFA receives honors at National FFA Convention
The Lynchburg-Clay FFA Chapter attended the National FFA Convention from October 20-23 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
;white-space: pre;"> Twenty-four Lynchburg-Clay FFA members paired up with the Felicity FFA Chapter and traveled together.
The week started out with an opening session with the humorous Josh Shipp. Then the group went to the Lady Antebellum concert that opened with Easton Corbin.
Thursday was a long and rewarding day; it started out with a visit to the career show and ended with the Buckeye Bash. The Lynchburg-Clay FFA Chapter also received their Two Star National Chapter Award based on their activities and impact upon their community on the National FFA Chapter Award Application.
Friday was filled with excitement as we boarded the bus and went out into the country to tour various agribusinesses. First, they visited a family owned dairy farm with about 500 head of cattle. Then they were off to see the pumpkin patch with a scrumptious meal to follow at a nice buffet. They ended the day with a session with a moving retiring speech by one of the National Officer Team members and the hilarious Judson Laipply, aka the creator of the Evolution of Dance.
To end the festivities on Saturday, five members of the FFA chapters received their American Degrees. Receiving their degrees from Lynchburg were: Brenda Keltner, Naomi Blankenship, Ashley Sams, and Brock Allen.  We are very proud of these hardworking individuals.  Congratulations to them!
