This year, the Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA chapter had 8 members representing the chapter on the Highland County Junior Fairboard.

The members were Ann Boyd, Layna Apgar, Kenny Shawhan, Camden Stroud, Claire Winkle, Brianna Foxx, Jayah Chaney, and one of our advisors Miss Paige Teeters. Throughout the week at the fair members helped with various shows such as Beef, Swine, Sheep, Goat, Llama, Alpaca. During the sales, they lined up the exhibitors and their animals in the correct order and kept the sale going smooth.

The other events Junior Fairboard members helped with were the Animal Scrambles, Fitting Contest, Royalty Contest, Livestock Judging Contest, Showman of Showman, their office shifts, and working in the Jr. Fair Building. Miss. Teeters represents Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA as the sheep barn superintendent, sales committee secretary, and the FFA representative on Junior Fairboard.

All of our Junior Fairboard representatives worked hard at the fair, thank you for doing your part to make the 2026 Highland County Fair a success.
