Every summer, the Ohio State Fair brings exhibitors from all over the state together to exhibit their projects they have been working so hard on. As for many FFA members, the fair is more than the rides, food and entertainment. It is the opportunity to show off the skill, knowledge and hard work they have developed throughout the year.

The following FFA members from the Hillsboro Great Oaks Chapter had a successful week at the Ohio State Fair, with several members earning high placings in their respective competitions.

Brayden Cumming had the champion crossbred heifer. Brianna Foxx placed third overall in the 15-year-old showmanship competition. Claire Winkle earned reserve champion Hampshire barrow in both the junior and open show. Connor Yochum placed third in his class with his Maine-Anjou heifer. Sydney Dunlap was fourth in showmanship and third in class with her landrace.

These accomplishments show the time, dedication and hard work that each member put into preparing their projects for the state fair. For these members getting to exhibit at the Ohio State fair was a rewarding experience and an opportunity to represent their FFA chapter. The fair also gave them a chance to learn from other exhibitors, meet new people, and put the skills they have gained throughout the year into practice. Their success is something both the members and their chapter can be proud of.
