Hillsboro FFA Chapter
The Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Chapter attended the annual Ag is Everyone’s Business event on March 6.
It was hosted in the Patriot Center at Southern State Community College, where many of the surrounding chapters in the Highland County area came together and enjoyed many different activities, like listening to the keynote speaker, Dr. Temple Grandin.
Dr. Temple Grandin highlighted the importance of thinking outside the box and how everyone can have a different perspective and thought process and still be right. She said that no matter how different we are and where we come from, each of us can affect the world and have a positive impact by how we think and act.
She also mentioned her life with autism and how it has affected her life, and how she has had to navigate through it and overcome the challenges of having autism. As well as listening to Dr. Temple Grandin, our chapter served food and refreshments to the guests at the event.
We had an amazing morning at the Ag is Everyone’s Business event, and our chapter really enjoyed spending time with close friends, meeting new people, and most importantly, learning about the importance of agriculture in Southern Ohio.
Our members who were present were Reagan Leeth, Rylea Scarberry, Brianna Foxx, Leah Robinson, Claire Winkle, Aaron Hatter, Kenneth Shawhan, Trenton Gulley, and Adalyn Gaines.
