GOOD! Lynchburg Lions Club sponsors motivational program

The Lynchburg Lions Club recently sponsored the "GOOD" program again this year.

The GOOD program (Going On Or Defeated) is presented by Mr. Ron Derry, who is a blind member of the Lions Club.

He challenges and motivates students to do their best in school and to overcome personal obstacles to achievement. He worked with all fifth-graders at Lynchburg-Clay Elementary School by conducting a general assembly and then doing demonstrations in their respective classrooms.

Eight of the fifth-graders were selected by their teachers to receive special GOOD program T-shirts in honor of being the best of the classes in meeting the goals of the GOOD program. The shirts were presented at the honors awards programs at the school.
