Premier Showmen members attend goat clinic

Premier Showmen 4-H Club 

Members of the Premier Showmen 4-H Club recently attended a goat clinic hosted by the Highland County Goat Association on Saturday, August 16. 

The clinic, held from 5:00 to 6:45 p.m., focused on both Dairy Goats and Pygmy Goats.

During the session, members learned valuable skills to help them succeed in the show arena. Topics included proper grooming techniques, hoof trimming, showmanship strategies, appropriate attire for showing, and the equipment needed to be prepared. In addition, presenters discussed the key characteristics judges look for in a successful showman.

Premier Showmen members in attendance were Bricen Stevens, Gracee Whaley, Bella Whaley, and Brooklynn Stevens. Each participant gained helpful pointers and knowledge to strengthen their goat projects and improve their show skills.

The Premier Showmen 4-H Club extends its appreciation to the Highland County Goat Association for hosting this educational event and supporting youth in the goat industry.
