Lawrence "Mike" Estep
Lawrence "Mike" (Big Daddy) Estep, 72, of Frankfort, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.
He was born July 1, 1952 in Chillicothe, the son of Lawrence and Betty (Haynes) Estep.
Mike proudly served three years in the United States Army, later retiring from the Chillicothe Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Mike was a man of many passions, such as collecting Hot Wheels, watching wrestling, shooting guns and pulling pranks. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Some of his favorites were fishing with his grandson, Kaleb, attending car shows with his brother, Pete, and game night with his granddaughter, Beth. Mike cherished time with loved ones and always had a funny story to share. Mike was loved beyond measure and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
Mike is survived by his wife, Basha (Patrick) Estep; five children, Michael Estep, Heather Estep, Beth (Jack) Birchfield, Becca (Mike) Eblin and Glenda (Sam) Colopy; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; his sister, Nancy (Sam) Tegeler; and his brother, Pete Estep.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Adena Regional Medical Center.
Services will be 4 p.m. Saturday, March 1 at the Ebright Funeral Home in Frankfort, with his nephew, Pastor Brian Tegeler, officiating.
Military honors will be accorded by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 2-4 p.m.

Although I've lost contact with Mike over the years, i still have such fond memories of him. Mike and I are cousins. He had the kindest heart and could always be counted on for an ornery prank or a funny joke. Condolesences to his family.
