Gerald Lee Haney

Gerald Lee “Jerry” Haney, 72, of Brooksville, Fla., formerly of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025 at Brooksville Hospital in Florida.
 
He was born July 1, 1952 in Greenfield, the son of Gerald and AnnaBelle (Daugherty) Haney.
 
He was a 1970 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School and served in the U.S. Air Force.  
 
He retired from the military to become an entrepreneur, building homes, and harness race horses.
 
He is survived by his three daughters, Lindsay Haney (Jason), Kodi Haney (Tyler) and Spring Roberts (Mike); eight grandchildren, Cheyenne, Austin, AnnaBella, Aysha, Cain, Tristen, Trevor and Lilliana; mother, AnnaBelle Haney; two brothers, Jeff Haney and Jon Haney; and his caregiver, Linda Papke.
 
He was preceded in death by his father.
 
A celebration of life will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 9 at the Greenfield Church of Christ with Pastor Jay Fabin and Pastor Danny Dodds officiating.
 
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, at the church.

Linda and the Haney family, please accept my sincere condolences in the loss of Gerry. I only got to spend a couple of years knowing him but they were good times! The world lost a great person and heaven gained an angel!
