The Linen Closet hosts grand opening in uptown Hillsboro

An "everything but the dress" wedding rental shop is now open in uptown Hillsboro, as The Linen Closet celebrates a grand opening at 126 South High Street, Hillsboro.
Owners Marvin and Christy Larrick and Ben and Ellen Snodgrass have opened the one-stop wedding rental shop, which includes a wide array of linens and accessories to help plan a beautiful wedding reception.
According to Christy Larrick, The Linen Closet crew will set up sample tables for the bride based on her wedding colors. Brides can bring in their centerpieces to try them out with the linens, or they can rent centerpieces from the shop.
"It's like trying on a dress, but with linens," Larrick said.
Tablecloths, chair covers, chair sashes and origami napkins are among the linens available in a wide range of colors, patterns and fabrics.
"We want the bride to be able to show her personality," Larrick said.
Place settings, goblets and plates, along with the cake knife and server, are also available for rent.
In addition to centerpieces, chandeliers, candelabras and other decorations can also be rented. Chair rentals are not offered, but small bar tables are available to rent, along with chocolate and punch fountains, chafing dishes and drink dispensers.
For an added fee, the Linen Closet crew will help set up the reception, which Larrick said can save hours of time and work for the wedding party and their families.
The Linen Closet is open by appointment, which may be made by calling (937) 393-8557 or emailing linens@wandwdrycleaners.com.
