William 'Bill' Henry Biza

William “Bill” Henry Biza, 85, peacefully passed away April 28, 2024 at his home in Sidney. 

He was born June 21, 1938 in Dayton to Edward “Pinky” and Violet (Rowe) Biza.

Bill honorably served his country in the U.S. Army, dedicating two years as a Chaplain Assistant. His working life was spent in service to the community through his roles at the Sidney water plant, the Hillsboro water plant and the Chillicothe City Water Plant. Upon retirement, Bill continued to give through his work as the Minister of the Lynchburg United Methodist Church, touching lives with his faith and guiding light.

Bill was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a treasured friend to many. His lifelong love of music brought joy to all around him, as he skillfully played the guitar and sang with a resonant tenor voice that never failed to warm hearts.

Bill's memory will endure through the countless lives he enriched with his compassionate spirit, from his boisterous cheering at grandsons’ and nephews’ ball games to his bottomless supply of songs to share — his love for life, nature and God will have enriched all who knew him.

He leaves behind his adored wife, Joyce M (Johnson) Biza; his daughter, Bonnie (Mark) Poeppelman of Sidney; grandsons, Robert Biza and daughter-in-law, Mary (Flaute) Biza of Botkins, Dustin (Chelsea Regelski) Poeppelman of Loveland and David (Kristen) Poeppelman of Troy; and his caring brother, Edward (Joyce Ann) Biza of Centerville. 

He was predeceased by his beloved son, Robert Biza.

A service to honor Bill's life and legacy will be announced in due course. 

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to express sympathy may consider making a donation to Wilson Hospice in Sidney or the Oran Christian Church, where Bill was a dedicated member.
