Everett Westley Burns, 54, of Chillicothe, passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024 in Chillicothe.
 
He was born May 9, 1969 in Greenfield, the son of Stanley C. Burns, Sr. and Barbara Jean (Anderson) Burns.
 
He was a 1987 graduate of Fairfield High School and member of the Church of Deliverance in Chillicothe.
 
He retired in 2009 after serving 20 years in the U.S. Army and then worked at the Chillicothe V.A. in the I.T. Department.
 
He is survived by one son, Aden Burns; three daughters, Quanisha Burns, Taysia Yusuf and Aniyah Burns; three sisters, Retha Burns, Janice Muslar and Antionett Ware; six brothers, Danny Ware, Eric Ware, Jeff Ware, Stanley “Bo” Burns Jr., David Ware and Shawn Ware; many nieces and nephews; honorable brothers, Rodney, Matt and Vince Burns; and honorable nephew, Greg Ware.
 
He was preceded in death by one sister, Cookie Hall; one nephew, Errol Muslar Jr.; and both parents.
 
Funeral service will be Friday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Jeremy Beverly officiating, followed by military rites. Everett will then be cremated, and his cremains will be buried at Hightop Cemetery near Samantha.
 
Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with expenses at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home.
