Batavia Post investigating single-vehicle, double-fatal traffic crash

The Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred Sunday, Sept. 3 at approximately 7:37 p.m. The crash occurred on state Route 756 near Bolender Road, just west of Felicity, Clermont County.

The preliminary investigation revealed a 2005 Ford F-150, operated by Donald Young, 35, of Felicity, was traveling westbound on state Route 756 when it traveled off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a utility pole before overturning, striking a tree and a fence.

Mr. Young sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Clermont County Coroner’s Office.

A passenger in the vehicle, Bobby Long, 47, of Felicity, also sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Clermont County Coroner’s Office.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Franklin Township Fire & EMS Department and Tarvin’s Auto Towing.

The crash remains under investigation.
