Winter weather advisory in effect Dec. 1-2

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Highland and surrounding counties from 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1 until 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2.

Snow is expected, with total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches.

Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will likely impact the Tuesday morning commute.

Forecast

Monday – Increasing clouds, with a high near 36. 

Monday Night – Snow, mainly after 1 a.m. Low around 27. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Tuesday – A chance of snow before 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Tuesday Night – Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19.

Wednesday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 36.

Wednesday Night – Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25.

Thursday – Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31.

Thursday Night – Mostly cloudy, with a low around 12.

Friday – A chance of rain and snow after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday Night – A chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 27. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Saturday – A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36 and a low around 26. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
