MOWRYSTOWN — The Whiteoak Wildcats are over the .500 mark after defeating non-league opponent Georgetown, 7-0 Wednesday at Whiteoak High School.
The Wildcats (9-8) scored runs in all but two innings, with two in the first and one in the second for a 3-0 lead.
They added one run in the fourth and scored their final three runs in the fifth for the eventual seven-run win.
WHS was led on the mound by senior Michael Carraher, who earned his third win of the season. Carraher (3-1) pitched the complete seven-inning game, allowing two hits and two walks, along with no runs while striking out 10.
Carraher also hit a triple against the G-Men, with one RBI.
Gage Carraher went 2-for-3 at the plate for the Wildcats, hitting two doubles, while collecting two RBIs and one run.
Jesse Bradds was 2-for-4 with a double, along with one RBI and one one run. Ryan Emery, Luke Taggert and Michael Smith each had one hit. Smith scored a run and Emery scored a run and collected one RBI. Taggert hit a double and scored one run.
