Whiteoak wins 4th consecutive game

MOWRYSTOWN — The Whiteoak Wildcats are on a roll the past couple weeks as they gained their fourth consecutive win Saturday night by defeating the Adena Warriors, 50-34.
The tone was set for the home win by the Wildcats in the opening eight minutes with 17 points, while Adena scored nine.
In that first frame, WHS senior Gage Carraher sank three 3-pointers. For the game, Carraher scored 17 points, totaling four treys for the game.[[In-content Ad]]
Also scoring in double figures was Doc Seip, a senior, with 13 points.
The Wildcats continued their double-figure scoring in the second as they outscored the Warriors, 14-7 for a halftime lead of 31-16.
Each team scored five points in the third frame, and in the fourth, the Wildcats won the frame, 14-13.
Others scoring for WHS were Justin Emery with five points, including one 3-pointer, while Blake Trueblood, Tyler Williams and Luke Taggert each scored four points. Brent Davis added two points, and Graham Douglas scored one.
Leading the Warriors in scoring was Sheppard with eight points, including two 3-pointers.
WHS was 9-of-16 from the free-throw line, while AHS was 9-of-14.
The Wildcats will play again on Jan. 8 at Manchester.
