Whiteoak Lady 'Cats defeat Williamsburg, fall to North Adams

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats wrapped up the regular season by splitting two games this week, defeating Williamsburg in non-conference play and falling to the North Adams Lady Green Devils in a Southern Hills Athletic Conference matchup.
In the game Wednesday against Williamsburg, the Lady 'Cats won by a 53-45 score.
WHS led 16-10 in the first, and following a 20-2 second frame by Whiteoak, their halftime lead was 36-12.
In the third, Whiteoak was outscored, 12-7, and in the fourth, Whiteoak was outscored 21-10, but they held on to keep the win.
Emma Wardlow led WHS with 18 points, followed by Maggie Carr with 11 points in the win.

Emily Edingfield scored six points, and Michaela Luman totaled four points.
Also for Whiteoak, Lexi Jones scored three points, while Emily Stratton, Jayde Parr and Courtney Cummings each scored two points.
On Thursday, WHS lost to the Lady Green Devils, 76-34 in SHAC play.
WHS trailed 23-2 after the first quarter and 41-12 at halftime.
In the second half, WHS was outscored 35-22.
Sunnie Lehr finished with a team-high nine points. Parr totaled seven points, and Carr ended the game with five points.
Wardlow finished the game with five points. Ashleigh Harless and Cummings each scored three points, and Stratton wrapped up the scoring with two points.
