Whiteoak girls cross-country finish runners-up at Fayetteville Invitational

There were 44 runners from nine schools at the 2014 Fayetteville Invitational on Saturday, where the Lady Wildcats placed second overall.

Morgan Thompson led the Lady Cats with a third-place finish at 23:26.

Taylor Tackett followed with an eighth-place time of 25:08.

Also for WHS, Maggie Carr was 12th (25:43); Ashleigh Harless, 17th (27:02); Regan Bohrer, 18th (27:14); Kattie Taylor, 20th (27:37) and Kiley Sosby, 26th (29:25).

Final team scores were: Manchester (18), Whiteoak (44), Amelia (72) and Fayetteville (92).
