Tyler Williams named first-team All-Ohio baseball

Whiteoak senior Tyler Williams was recently selected to the 2014 Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Ohio first-team for his play this past season for the Wildcats.
Williams played in 27 games his senior season, and in 76 at-bats, the WHS outfielder batted .434 with a .697 slugging percentage and .544 on-base percentage.
The senior finished with 33 hits (15 RBIs), including nine doubles, four triples and one home run. Williams totaled 53 bases, while drawing 17 walks. He also collected 13 stolen bases, along with scoring 28 runs.

On the mound, Williams had one win but finished with a respectable 3.27 ERA with 22 strikeouts on the season. The senior also allowed zero home runs in 25.2 innings pitched. Of the 36 runs allowed when he was on the mound, just 12 were earned.
In the field, Williams had 29 put outs and 11 assists to go with his .800 fielding percentage.
As a junior in 2013, Williams was Division IV All-Ohio second-team, a season where he batted .438.
In 2014, Williams was also an All-Southern Hills Athletic Conference and All-SE District selection.
He currently plays for the Hillsboro Post 129 American Legion summer baseball team and signed to play baseball at Wilmington College, a Division III school.
