Reaghan Haines repeats as Highland County Invitational champion

LEESBURG — For the second consecutive year, Hillsboro's Reaghan Haines was the winner of the Highland County Invitational race held at the Fairfield High School cross-country course.
For Haines, the junior finished with a winning time of 22:12, 28 seconds over second place. In all three years running at the HC Invitational, Haines has finished in the Top 2.
In second was Whiteoak sophomore Morgan Thompson at 22:40.

The rest of the Top 5 were: Hillsboro junior Lizzie Tamborski (22:53), Lynchburg-Clay freshman Emily Pinkerton (23:31) and WHS sophomore Taylor Tackett at 23:42.
In all, there were 18 racers in the event.
Four of the five Highland County schools had racers in the events, with McClain not having a girls varsity runner. Two teams from Highland County had a full team.
HHS was the winning girls team with a score of 26, followed by Whiteoak with 29 points.
The Lady Indians have now won the race seven of the eight years it has been held.
