Lady 'Cats win 2nd straight sectional title in 5 sets

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats took to the road Thursday night in the Division IV SE District Sectional Final match and traveled back to Mowrystown with a sectional title to the record as they defeated Portsmouth Notre Dame in five sets.

The Lady 'Cats, a No. 6 seed, topped the No. 3 seeded Lady Titans for at least their 12th win of the season. This is their second straight sectional final win.[[In-content Ad]]

WHS won the first set 25-21, followed by Notre Dame winning 25-16 in set two.

Whiteoak rallied for a set three win of 25-18, but Notre Dame answered with a 26-24 win.

In the fifth set, the Lady 'Cats won by a score of 15-9.

WHS will play again on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at Jackson High School in a Division IV SE District semifinal match.
