Lady Cats shutout North Adams

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats didn't score a run until the bottom of the sixth, but that proved to be enough as the Lady 'Cats used pitching and defense to seal the win, defeating the visiting North Adams Lady Green Devils, 1-0 Thursday at WHS.

The lone run of the game came in the bottom of the sixth as Kiley Sosby crossed home plate on a hit by Mikayla Burns for the Southern Hills Athletic Conference win.

WHS totaled six hits and no walks in their win, with Hayley Nace leading the Lady 'Cats with a 2-for-3 day at the plate. Ashleigh Harless, Sosby, Burns and Morgan Miller each had one hit apiece.

The win in the circle went to Sosby. She pitched six innings, allowing no runs on three hits and no walks. The sophomore struck out 13 of the 25 batters she faced.
