Lady 'Cats host Symmes Valley in scrimmage

MOWRYSTOWN — In preparation for their upcoming 2011-12 girls basketball season the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats hosted the Symmes Valley Lady Vikings, in a scrimmagem, on Friday night at Whiteoak High School.
In the scrimmage the teams split the first two quarters play with each team leading a quarter.
WHS will have 13 players on their varsity roster this season including returning seniors Jessie Gilliland and Marissa Bohl.
The Lady Vikings of Symmes Valley are coached by Whiteoak graduate and former WHS assistant girls basketball coach Brandon Walker.
The 'Lady Cats open the 2011-12 regular season on Saturday, Nov. 26 against Ironton St. Joe at the Paint Valley Lady Cat Classic in Bainbridge. They follow that game with road game against West Union (non-league) on Monday, Nov. 28.
The first home game for Whiteoak will be on Thursday, Dec. 1 when they host the Ripley Lady Blue Jays in their Southern Hills League opener at 6 p.m.[[In-content Ad]]
