Lady 'Cats gain win over West Union

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats went to the road and returned home with a win, defeating the West Union Lady Dragons, 46-29 last Thursday.

In the Southern Hills Athletic Conference win on Feb. 5, WHS led the the first frame by a 13-9 score, and after outscoring WU, 17-4 in the second, the Lady 'Cats built a 30-13 halftime lead.

WHS (1-11, 4-16) scored 16 points in the second half, eight in each quarter, while WU had a seven-point third quarter and nine points in the fourth frame.

Emma Wardlow led WHS with 20 points, followed by Maggie Carr with 12.

Courtney Cummings was next in scoring with six points, and with two points each were Emily Stratton, Jayde Parr and Alexis Jones.

Rounding out the WHS scoring were Emily Edingfield and Michaela Luman with one point each.
