Lady 'Cats gain SHAC win at Fayetteville

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats defeated the Fayetteville Lady Rockets, 5-0 for a win in Southern Hills Athletic Conference play, Friday at FHS.

WHS finished with 14 hits in the win, including a three-hit day from Jaycie Parr and four players having two hits in the victory.

Parr was 3-for-3 with two runs, and one walk. She also scored two runs.

Kiley Sosby was 2-for-4 as the lead-off batter for the Lady 'Cats, as she hit two solo home runs.

Ashleigh Harless was 2-for-4, and teammate Jayde Parr went also went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Alexis Jones had a 2-for-4 game as well, with a double, one run and one RBI.


[[In-content Ad]]Having one hit each were Chelsea Chisman, Courtney Gross and Caitlyn Arledge.

As for the runs scored by WHS, the Lady 'Cats had one run in the third, followed by a two-run fifth and two-run sixth inning.

Then there was the pitching of Sosby, who pitched a two-hitter in seven innings. The senior walked none and struck out 15 batters (she faced 22). Of her 15 strikeouts, two were called third strikes. Sosby threw 71 pitches in the win, 59 for strikes.
