Lady 'Cats fall at Eastern Brown

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats went to the road Thursday night and fell in Southern Hills Athletic Conference play as they lost to the Eastern Brown Lady Warriors, 52-30.

WHS stands at 1-3 overall this season, while EB moves to 3-4 on the year.

For WHS, they trailed 18-8 after the first frame, and from there, they trailed 32-17 at the half as the visitors were outscored 14-9 in the second.

EB added 18 points in the third, while WHS scored eight, and in the fourth, WHS won the quarter, 8-2.

Leading WHS were Courtney Cummings and Emma Wardlow with seven points each, as Cummings totaled five rebounds, one assist and was 3-of-4 from the free-throw line. Wardlow totaled two rebounds, one 3-pointer and two steals.  

Sunnie Lehr and Morgan Campbell each totaled five points as Lehr had two rebounds, two assists and one blocked shot. Campbell added one rebound, two assists and one block.

Brittany Luman scored four points with three rebounds and one block.

Clarissa Johnson and Amber Gorman each scored one point for WHS. Gorman added four rebounds and two assists, while Johnson had five rebounds and one assist. Emily Stratton totaled three rebounds, one assist and two steals.

WHS was 10-of-51 from the field and made three 3-pointers from Wardlow, Campbell and Luman.

The Lady 'Cats were 8-of-13 from the free-throw line with a team total of 34 rebounds and 24 turnovers.

Eastern was led in scoring by Kayla Seigla with 11 points and Tressie Lewis with 10.

EB totaled 39 rebounds and 16 turnovers. They were 22-of-61 from the field and 5-of-9 from the free-throw line.
