Lady 'Cats drop recent game to Ripley

In a game on Monday, Jan. 5, the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats fell to the Ripley Lady Blue Jays, 45-35.

In the game, WHS was led by Maggie Carr with 11 points, followed by Sunnie Lehr and Courtney Cummings with seven points apiece.

WHS trailed after the first frame by three points at 14-11, but WHS did win the second-quarter scoring at 9-8, though they trailed at the half by a 22-20 score.

The Lady 'Cats were outscored 15-6 in the third but won the fourth frame at 9-8.

Also scoring for WHS were Emma Wardlow with five points, while Emily Stratton scored three points. Emily Edingfield and Michaela Luman each scored one point in the loss.
