Lady 'Cats burn NA Devils

Whiteoak junior pitcher Kiley Sosby held the opposition to just one hit again this season, as her performance in the circle led the Lady Wildcats to a 5-0 Southern Hills Athletic Conference victory Thursday at North Adams.
The one hit allowed by Sosby was off an infield bunt.
The offense of the Lady 'Cats jumped on the Lady Green Devils in the top of the first, plating four runs in the inning, holding a 4-0 lead for most of the game.
WHS, for good measure, added one last run in the top of the fifth for their fourth victory of the week.
Whiteoak finished with eight hits in the game and committed just one error on defense.

Sosby gained another win in the circle, allowing just the one hit and walking none. She finished with 14 strikeouts against the 22 total batters she faced.
At the plate, Sosby and Alexis Jones each had two hits to lead the Lady 'Cats. Sosby was 2-for-3 (double, triple) with two runs and was hit by a pitch. Jones went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Jaycee Parr had one hit and one run, and Jayde Parr had a hit, while collecting two RBIs and one run.
Kayla Smallwood and Hailey Nace each had one hit.
WHS left five runners stranded.
Next for the Lady 'Cats is a game Friday at home against Felicity in non-conference play.
