Members of the Bowling Green State University softball team honored the Sept. 11, 2001 first responder victims on Friday morning.

Softball players climbed the steps at Doyt Perry Stadium 22 times (the number of steps to the top of the Twin Towers) while carrying a 50-pound sand bag to represent the weight of the gear the firefighters carried.

Former Whiteoak High School standout pitcher Kiley Sosby was among the players who participated in the exercise.
