Area cross-country runners receive All-District honors

The Southeast District Cross Country Coaches Association announced its All-District cross country runners, and Coaches of the Year, at a banquet held at Chillicothe High School on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
The Fairfield Lions placed all seven district runners that competed in the postseason on the district championship team.
The runners were Wyatt Evans, Matthew Mangus, Noah Richmond, Trent Swisher, Andrew Davis, Nick Price and Dillon Burley. Coach Raymond Friend was named Division III Coach of the Year.
[[In-content Ad]]"As evidence of having our whole varsity team named to the coaches' All-District team, we had an outstanding year," assistant coach Bill Mangus said. "We have had the District Runner of the Year three of the four past seasons, and Coach Raymond Friend has been named the District Coach of the Year the past four seasons.
"We will continue to strive to work hard and to become even better in the upcoming season."
Also named All-District in Division III were Whiteoak"s Morgan Thompson and Taylor Tackett. Named to the Division II boys' team was Hillsboro's senior, Trey Moberly.
