Alumni basketball league held at Whiteoak

An alumni basketball league was held at Whiteoak High School recently where teams of alumni played for the alumni championship trophy.

A team consisting of Kevin Shannon (class of 2000), Ben Barnett (class of 2010), Allen Crabtree (class of 2002), Jared Bohl (class of 2005), Travis Mootz (class of 2002), Justin Michael (class of 2002) and Ryan Barnett (class of 2001) won the championship of the league with an undefeated record.

“This was truly an honor to have these guys come out for our alumni league,” WHS alumnus and current boys basketball head coach Blake Kibler said. “I’m so glad we brought back this awesome tradition.

“Some of these guys I have played with, grew up watching and coached. We have wonderful alumni who bleed orange and black. We look forward to having it again next year. Go 'Cats!”
