8 from HC selected coaches all-district

The boys basketball coaches of District 14 officially released their 2012-13 all-district selections, as eight players from Highland County earned honors from the coaches of the district.
 
Of the eight from Highland County, two earned first-team honors as McClain's Ryan Faulconer was named first-team in Division II and Doc Seip was named to the first team in Division IV.
 
Also for Highland County, Hillsboro's Jarrod Hart was named second team in Division II, while Fairfield's Quentin Williams was named to the Division IV second-team.
 
Honorable mention players from Highland County were Jordan Captain (HHS) and Brent Shannon (MHS) in Division II, Ryan Bates of Fairfield and Luke Taggert of Whiteoak in Division IV.
 
No players from Highland County were selected by the coaches in Division III.
 
As for the remainder of the list, the Division II District 14 Coaches Association Player of the Year was Dillon Young of Logan Elm. In Division III, the POY was Trent Arey of Peebles, and in Division IV, the POY was Chad Lands of Eastern Pike.
 
In Division II, the complete first team included: Zach Johnson (Chillicothe), Young (LE), Faulconer (MHS), Chase Detillion (Unioto) and Derek Shaw (Washington).
 
Second-team Division II included: Justin Hill (Circleville), Hart (HHS), Cedric Pettiford (Miami Trace), Blake Baldwin (MT) and Jean Paul White (Waverly).
 
Honorable mention in Division II were: Tommy Bolte (Chillicothe), Will Griffin (Circleville), Captain (HHS), Logan Thompson (LE), Shannon (MHS), Brantlyn Decker (MT), Bryce Arledge (UHS), Conner Eckles (WSHS) and Phillip Hart (WHS).[[In-content Ad]]
The Coach of the Year in Division II was Jon Stauffer of MT.
 
In Division III, the first team included: Chase Lawson (EB), Austin McBee (Minford), Arey (PHS), Beau Justice (PHS) and Zach Farmer (Piketon).
 
The second team in Division III players were: Drew Scarberry (Northwest), Craigen Morre (Piketon), Jaylleb Carter (Portsmouth), Hayden Dunn (Valley) and Wes Beam (Zane Trace).
 
Third-team players in Division III were Nate Scott (EB), Jared McCray (Minford), Isaac Brabson (Piketon), Alek Stonerock (Westfall), Dylan Miller (Wheelersburg) and Pierce Mowery (ZT).
 
The players earning honorable mention for Division III were: Jonathan Thomas (Adena), Riley Prine (Huntington), Jacob Kellough (Minford), Kenton Gullion (Minford), Kris King (North Adams), Marcus Potter (Northwest), Clay Stratton (Paint Valley), Matthew McAdow (Peebles), Colton Williams (Piketon), Ky're Allison (Portsmouth), JB Travis (Portsmouth West), Dylan Miles (Southeastern), Jordan West (Valley), AJ Frost (West Union), Doug Hardin (Westfall) and Eric Hutton (Zane Trace).
 
The COY in Division III was Jeff Lisath of Piketon.
 
In Division IV, the first-team selections included: Chad Lands (Eastern Pike), JP Kayser (Notre Dame), Patrick Bias (Sciotoville), Seth Goddard (South Webster) and Seip (WHS).
 
Second-team selection were: Travares Pickett (Eastern Pike), Williams (FHS), Shane Buckley (New Boston), Kevin Lewis (Notre Dame), Justin Crager (Sciotoville).
 
Honorable mention honors went to: Eldin Sarailic (Clay), Colton Lightle (Eastern Pike), Bates (FHS), Tyler Crace (Green), Braxton Gaffin (Manchester), Brendan Herrforth (New Boston), Michael Mader (Notre Dame), Tyler Bradford (Sciotoville), Levi Cook (South Webster), Nick Shanks (Western) and Taggert (WHS).
 
PJ Fitch was named the Division IV Coach of the Year for District 14. The District 14 boys Assistant Coach of the Year was Kevin Roll of Unioto.
