4 Highland County teams compete in weather-shortened track meet

In a quad meet held at the Hillsboro High School track on Wednesday, not all of the events were able to be held as the event was cut short due to thunderstorms in the area.

Four Highland County teams competed in the meet, as the McClain Tigers, Fairfield Lions and Whiteoak Wildcats, along with the host Hillsboro Indians, all took part in the event.

The final girls scores after 11 events took place saw Hillsboro with the highest score at 84 points, followed by McClain (46), Fairfield (17) and Whiteoak (16).

For the boys’ 10 events held, Hillsboro led with 62 points. They were followed by McClain (53), Fairfield (19) and Whiteoak (10).
