2015 Girls Basketball Tournament Matchups for Highland County

Sunday, the 2015 OHSAA Girls Basketball Tournament SE District brackets were released, with all five Highland County teams finding out who they will play in their first tournament game of the postseason.

The McClain Lady Tigers (17-3) received a No.1 seed in the Valley 1 sectional, as the co-South Central Ohio League champions will face the winner of the No. 8 West Union/No. 9 Portsmouth West game.

McClain's game will be played on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. at Valley High School.


[[In-content Ad]]Also in Division III, in the Athens 2 sectional, the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs (10-8) received a No. 3 seed. They will take on No. 6 seeded Huntington (8-10) at Valley High School on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 6:15 p.m.

In Division II, the Hillsboro Lady Indians (14-6) were seeded No. 4 in the Zane Trace No. 4 sectional. The Lady Indians (14-6) will face the No. 5 seeded Jackson Ironladies (7-10) on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at Zane Trace High School, with a start time of 8 p.m.

The Division IV matchup is an all-Highland County battle with the No. 8 Fairfield Lady Lions (7-12) against the No. 9 Whiteoak Lady Wildcats (3-16) on Monday in the Northwest No. 1 bracket, Feb. 16 at  7 p.m. in a game to be played at Northwest High School.
