Wanda Lee Herdman Osborn

Wanda Lee Herdman Osborn, 93, of Lynchburg passed away Friday, Sept. 15, 2023 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. 

She was born Aug. 12, 1930 in Pricetown, the daughter of the late Russell and Ruby Mustard Herdman. 

Wanda was a homemaker and a member of the Lynchburg Methodist Church. 

She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Kern, Sandra Osborn and Jeanette Osborn all of Lynchburg; one son, John (Ruth) Osborn of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, Robert Wayne Kern, Rachel Elizabeth Osborn, Zachary John (Courtney) Osborn and Eli Nathanael (Nadine) Osborn; and seven great-grandchildren, Ella Pearl Say, Sarah Elizabeth Osborn, Laura Grace Osborn, Addelynn Ruth Osborn, Elana Isabelle Osborn, Ruby Noel Osborn and Isaac Nathanael Osborn. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne O. Osborn, on Oct. 9, 2003; one sister, Audrey Hunter; and one brother, Glen Russell Herdman. 

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. The Rev. David Wirth will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
