Vera Faye McQuitty, 89, of Mowrystown, passed away Monday, Sept. 11, 2023 at Legacy Hillsboro.

She was born April 17, 1934 in Highland County, the daughter of the late Harley E. Kell and Stella Belle Roberts Kell.

She was a member of Mowrystown Church of Christ.

Surviving are her son, Donald Jay McQuitty; son, Kenneth R. Mullins; son, Daniel E. Mullins; brother, Russell (Dorothy) Kell,; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Vera was preceded in death by her father, Harley E. Kell; mother, Stella Belle Roberts; husband, Maynard Merriel McQuitty; brother, Delton Kell; brother, Ralph Kell; sister, Janet Reed; and daughter-in-law, Linda Mullins.

Services will be held Sept. 16, 2023 at noon at Edgington Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Gobin officiating. Interment will follow in the Roberts Cemetery, Taylorsville.

Friends will be received Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023 from 11 a.m.-noon at Edgington Funeral Home, Mowrystown.
