Tessa M. Hicks
Tessa M. Hicks, 25, passed away Oct. 14, 2023 in a tragic car wreck.
She was born May 30, 1998 in Wilmington. She was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, friend and colleague and will be forever remembered for her vibrant spirit and kind heart.
Tessa's education began at Clinton-Massie High School, where she graduated with the class of 2016. Throughout her academic journey, she demonstrated determination and a thirst for knowledge that earned her the respect and admiration of her peers and teachers.
After completing her education, Tessa embarked on an enriching career at R-L Transfer Service in the Dispatch. Her commitment to her work was evident to all who had the pleasure of collaborating with her. Tessa's attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills made her an invaluable asset to the company.
Beyond her professional achievements, Tessa's true legacy rests in the lives she touched and the relationships she cherished. She was a loving daughter to Gina Hofer of Clarksville. Tessa shared a deep bond with her maternal grandparents, James Lee and Kay Hofer of Clarksville. They provided love and guidance throughout her life that shaped her into the remarkable person she became.
Tessa also found companionship in Ricky Jones of Blanchester; their special connection brought tremendous joy to both their lives. Their friendship was marked by laughter, shared experiences and unwavering support. Ricky stood by Tessa through thick and thin, forming a powerful bond that will endure as his everlasting tribute to their cherished memories.
Additionally, Tessa leaves behind several aunts, uncles and cousins who will cherish the moments they shared together. Their collective memories of laughter-filled family gatherings will be treasured as a testament to Tessa's ability to bring people together.
During her time with her loved ones, Tessa inspired them all with her empathy, compassion and zest for life. Her infectious smile brightened even the darkest of days, and her genuine kindness touched the hearts of everyone she crossed paths with. Tessa's inherent goodness radiated through her actions, leaving an indelible mark on all those lucky enough to have known her.
Tessa M. Hicks leaves her loved ones far too soon, but her impact on their lives will never be forgotten. In this time of immense sorrow, let us hold on to the joyful memories shared with her and celebrate the beautiful life she lived. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that she has profoundly touched the lives of so many.
A celebration of life gathering will be Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023 from 2-5 p.m. at the Blanchester Eagles #2222 Club, 113 South Wright Street, Blanchester, Ohio. The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Memorial contributions in Tessa's memory may be given to Clinton County Humane Society, PO Box 1024, Wilmington 45177 as a testament to Tessa's love of animals.
