According to the Ohio Secretary of State's official Poll Worker Tracker, there are 32,310 poll workers committed to participating in democracy and working the special election on Aug. 8. Secretary of State Frank LaRose appreciates the service of these patriots and encourages other Ohioans to help the remaining counties in need of poll workers by signing up to serve this August.

Early vote totals, already surpassing expectations, have only accelerated as the Aug. 8 election gets closer. Voters will determine whether it should be harder to approve future constitutional amendments.

Early voting figures for the Ohio Aug. 8 special election are surpassing even the most optimistic expectations. Through seven days of early voting more than 116,000 Ohioans have shown up at their local board to cast a ballot. Another 38,000 have absentee ballots have made their way in as well.

More than 155,000 Ohioans have already voted in the Aug. 8 special election, with less than three weeks remaining until Election Day, according to the Ohio Secretary of State’s new Office of Data Analytics and Archives.

The Ohio Secretary of State’s Office announced Tuesday that more than 28,000 Ohioans have signed up to be poll workers for the August 8 special election, surpassing the minimum number of 27,587 poll workers needed statewide for this election.

Monday is the last day for Ohioans to register to vote for the Aug. 8 Special Election. On Tuesday, July 11, ballots will be available to all registered voters to make their voices heard on State Issue 1. Currently, Ohio has 7,947,090 registered voters.
