An Ohio man has been arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges related to his conduct during the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. His actions and the actions of others disrupted a joint session of the U.S. Congress convened to ascertain and count the electoral votes related to the 2020 presidential election.

The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) officially welcomed the village of West Jefferson, in Madison County, as the newest member of MORPC. The acceptance of the village of West Jefferson as a member took place Nov. 9, following a resolution to join MORPC that was previously approved by the village.

In its 38th year of honoring the nation’s best high school athletes, Gatorade Friday announced Brooke Mannon of West Jefferson High School is the 2022-23 Gatorade Ohio Softball Player of the Year.
