Highland County Commissioners Brad Roades, Terry Britton and David Daniels offered their thoughts and prayers to the family of longtime Highland County Auditor Bill Fawley during their Tuesday, Dec. 2 board meeting.

The Adams County Community Foundation recently announced a grant to the Shop With a Cop program, helping local children experience the joy of the holiday season.

On Monday, the committee gathered at Democratic headquarters with a flurry of activity, packing dozens of sturdy shopping bags with all the ingredients for traditional Thanksgiving fare, from the turkey and stuffing main course, to dinner rolls, fresh fruit, canned vegetables, white potatoes, sweet potatoes and, of course, pumpkin pie.

The Scioto County Grand Jury handed down indictments Aug. 22 against a Scioto County Commissioner and his wife as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged bribes and public contracts involving the Southern Ohio Port Authority and a Portsmouth-area business park, Auditor of State Keith Faber announced.
