The 19th annual chili supper and dessert auction, benefiting the Highland County Society for Children and Adults, will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 18 at Hillsboro VFW Post 9094, 1000 West Main Street in Hillsboro.
Rotarian Rick Williams conducted the dessert auction consisting of 29 different items that were sold for a total of $5,415 smashing the previous record of $2,830. The total of ticket sales and additional donations was $884 resulting in another event record total of $6,299.
The legacy of community involvement and financial support for a myriad of projects in Greenfield by Lowell and Sandra McNeil has been passed down to their daughter, Jennifer McNeil Kennedy, Rotary’s recipient of this year’s Paul Harris Fellowship.
