Ohio State baseball southpaw Gavin Bruni was selected by the Washington Nationals in the 17th round, with the 500th overall pick, of the 2024 MLB Draft last Tuesday.
Xavier University baseball's Nolan Hughes was selected on the third day of the MLB First-Year Player Draft, going in the 16th round to the Washington Nationals as the 470th overall pick.
The Washington Nationals agreed to terms on one-year contracts with third baseman Nick Senzel, formerly of the Cincinnati Reds, and right-handed pitcher Dylan Floro on Tuesday.
