  • November is National Family Caregiver Month

    National Family Caregiver Month is celebrated each year in November and is a time to recognize and honor family caregivers across the country. It offers an opportunity to raise awareness of caregiving issues, educate communities and increase support for caregivers.

    This month is my first official column as the Executive Director of the Area Agency on Aging District 7 (AAA7). I am delighted to be on board in this role and excited about the future for our Agency and the services and programs we provide to our communities.
  • Free CEU training for social workers, nurses offered through the Area Agency on Aging District 7
    A free continuing education training will soon be available virtually sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging District 7 (AAA7). “Opioid Use Disorders and Older Adults: Pharmageddon” will be held Thursday, Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., presented by Brian Bethel, PhD., LPCC-S, LCDC III, RPT-S.

  • Herrmann named Executive Director of the AAA7
    Jamie Herrmann has been named Executive Director of the Area Agency on Aging District 7 (AAA7), according to Dr. Christine Raber, President of the AAA7 Board of Trustees.

    May is a pretty special time of the year at our Agency – it’s Older Americans Month. It’s a time to celebrate the wonderful contributions given by so many older adults in our communities and express our gratitude for their years of positive influence and dedication to their families, friends and neighbors.  
  • 50 years of service: Ohio Area Agencies on Aging celebrate milestone anniversary
    In a momentous celebration, the Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) in Ohio proudly mark their 50th anniversary, a testament to five decades of dedicated service under the Older Americans Act. These agencies have been instrumental in empowering older adults to live with dignity and independence. 
  • AAA7 releases annual report
    Helpful information including Agency highlights, facts and figures were included in the Area Agency on Aging District 7’s (AAA7) 2022 Annual Report. The AAA7 provides services to 10 core counties in Ohio, including Adams, Brown, Gallia, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross, Scioto and Vinton.
