Intermountain Electronics Corporation (IE Corp), in collaboration with JobsOhio, Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE) and Lawrence Economic Development Corporation, announced a significant expansion of its facility in South Point. The $12 million expansion will create 25 new jobs.

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing incident that allegedly occurred at South Point Elementary School.

Nathaniel Jarvis Kennard, 40, of South Point, was sentenced recently to six years and four months in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, for distribution of a quantity of fentanyl.
