The 2013 high school season continues to get closer with some schools beginning two-a-days this week and 7-on-7s wrapping up, as the Wilmington Hurricane hosted East Clinton and Xenia, Tuesday at Wilmington College.
All three teams played each other in a series of scrimmages of both offense and defense with each team breaking up into two separate squads on the turf field at WC and a grass field next to Williams Stadium.

Following the event, Wilmington head coach Robin Vida spoke to his team about the mental approach of football.
"We are in shorts and shirts right now, so it is hard to judge a few things right now," Vida said. "What we do with the 7-on-7s is we work and focus on our mental approach.
"This isn't really football right now, but it is important we do work on the mental approach of the game."
East Clinton head coach Bill Hrabak also spoke about the event, saying they improved this week after taking a step back last week.
"Last week, we had one of our own (a 7-on-7), and I thought we took a step backward then," Hrabak said. "(Tuesday) we started slow, but we finished strong.
"We worked on the timing of our routes, and the work we've put in all summer is starting to pay off."
