The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) announced their Women's Cross-Country Runner of the Week Monday afternoon, and for the first time in her Quakers career, Faith Duncan was honored.
However, this is her third time being named OAC Athlete of the Week during her Quakers tenure. She was named Track Athlete of the Week one time during indoor season (Jan. 29, 2024), and one time during outdoor season (Apr. 1, 2024) during the 2023-24 academic year.
Duncan (Lebanon HS/Lebanon, Ohio) competed at the Franklin College Grizzly Invitational on Saturday and won the 6K race of 238 runners with a new Quakers program record time of 21:25.9. She won the race by 45 seconds and had an average mile pace of 5:44.9.
This is her second win in a row after winning the Wild Witt Exhibition Race on Aug. 30. During that race, she won a 4K with a time of 15:07.1.
Duncan and the Quakers will be back in competition on Friday, Sept. 20 at the All-Ohio Classic, hosted by Cedarville University at the Elvin R. King Cross-Country Course. The women are slated to start at 6 p.m.
