D3football.com announced their 2025 All-Region teams, and for the first time in program history, the publication recognized a Wilmington Quakers return specialist not only as an All-Region performer, but a First Team All-Region 4 honoree in senior Darryl Story.

He is the first Quaker since 2013 to be named on the First Team Offense by D3football.com, joining Jeremy Duncan, who did it as a Wide Receiver. Story is the first Quakers All-Region honoree since Lathan Jones was named to the Second Team as a Wide Receiver following the 2023 season.

Story (Tipp City, Ohio/Northridge HS) tore it up as a returner this season. He took six punts back for a total of 137 yards, and a program record 22.83 yards per punt return, including the first punt return touchdown for Wilmington since 2018. This came in the form of a 65 yarder against Otterbein University.

He added to this with two kick returns for 92 yards, including a 77-yard touchdown in the first game of the season vs. The College of Wooster. At the time, this was the Quakers first kick return touchdown since 2021, before the Quakers added two more later in the season.

Story is the first Quaker since at least 1990 to record both a punt and kick return touchdown in the same season. He is one of just nine players in all of Division III football this season to return both a punt and a kick for a touchdown. To go along with his return prowess, Story was second on the team with 318 receiving yards on eight receptions.
