With the same scores in both contests, the McClain Tigers and Southeastern Panthers split a doubleheader Saturday at Thomas Hixon Field.

This Saturday mirrored seven days before, with MHS winning with a walk-off victory, defeating the Panthers, 4-3, but dropping game two by the same 4-3 score with SE winning.

In game one's walk-off win, it was a single in the bottom of the seventh by Trevor Gossett, who the previous week scored the game-winning run against Eastern Brown.

Junior pitcher Shawn Haddox (1-0) went the distance for the Tigers, facing 33 Panther batters, while allowing only two earned runs.

The Tigers pounded out nine hits in the game, led by Brent Shannon, Zach Puckett and Gossett, who each garnered two hits.

MHS managed only three hits in the game but were able to take advantage of six Panther walks to plate three runs.

McClain (1-1, 3-4) travels to Hillsboro on Monday (at Shaffer Park) for a South Central Ohio League contest.
