CLARKSVILLE — For the first time this season, the McClain Tigers boys soccer team didn't end a South Central Ohio League game as the victors Tuesday at Clinton-Massie High School.
But the Tigers didn't end the game on the down side either, as they finished the SCOL battle tied at zero against the Falcons.
MHS (3-0-1, 3-2-1) had 13 shots at goal, compared to five by the Falcons.
MHS keeper Ryan Case finished with six saves vs. CM.
"This was just a very good defensively played game by both teams," MHS coach Shawn Jackson said. "Both teams played very well on defense. We missed some opportunities to score goals, but this was a really good game."
Jackson also talked about the defensive play of Steven Barber.
"Steven was excellent on defense," Jackson said. "As a whole, we played well and played as a group."
MHS now stands at 3-0-1 in the SCOL and 3-2-1 overall.
The Tigers will travel to face the Miami Trace Panthers on Thursday in another tough SCOL contest at MTHS.
